Percebes Música is a Lisbon based label that has steadily released physical and digital goodies for the better part of four years. This is Produto Interno Bruto (portuguese for “Gross Domestic Product”), one of the label’s most defining documents to date. An unbounded, eclectic and ambitious project that sounds and feels like a collaborative album that was compiled and mastered by label head Ka§par.
In the presented vinyl edition, it includes tracks from the two previously released volumes of the series and even adds some exclusive content. The compilation praises the music made by underground portuguese artists by contrasting it with that of a few solid international producers, close to the label’s inner circle.
The purchase of this double 12″ vinyl allows for the digital download of both PIB I and II and a bonus EP. This makes the purchase attractive and the package valuable. It also allows the listener to know more artists than those featured on the vinyl that are no less deserving of praise. A must have, crafted with care and truth in mind.
